Crop Basics Escape Room

This escape room gives you an active learning revision lesson with your students. 

Students must crack the code to open the safe

In order to crack the code they must solve 5 clues. 

• Clue One - Students will need to have covered the characteristics of certified seeds
• Clue Two - Revises the definition of plant life cycles (Annual, Biennial, Perennial)
• Clue Three - Is a literacy exercise involving key words related to the control of pests and diseases
• Clue four - Students will need to have covered the factors that affect transpiration
• Clue Five - Revises plant tissues and systems

Each clue will take on average 5 - 10 minutes to crack, though some are harder than others. It helps if students have their textbook/notes to hand. 

Clues can be laminated and stuck around the lab to promote circulation and discussion, or printed in packs to give each group at a table, only allowing them the next clue when they have solved the previous.
